I’m Stuart Edgar, and many of you will know me, my partner, Jane, and our Labradors Sansa and young Mabel
I’m Carlisle born and bred and have worked in Carlisle and the surrounding area for the past 35 years, moving to Wetheral just five years ago. It’s a community I have grown to love, and I can’t wait to serve local pet-owning families with a quality pet care service they can depend upon.
Where do I cover I hear you say! Well Carlisle, Brampton, Longtown and the Eden Valley as far as Penrith, we even venture to the West of Carlisle!
As I continue to grow my business, Jane gives me valuable support at home and I’m certain Sansa and Mabel will try there best to ‘quality check’ every delicious flavour of dog food, every tasty treat and every exciting toy!
In fact, Sansa was instrumental in helping us choose OSCAR. We wouldn’t have called her a fussy eater, but she certainly wasn’t ‘Labrador’ when it came to mealtimes. That was … until we popped a sample of OSCAR Lamb and Rice in front of her. Now, she doesn’t get her head out of the bowl until she’s finished, Mabel, is continuing to flourish on OSCAR large breed puppy food.
Whilst my thirty-year background in sales taught me the importance of recognising a quality product, finding a work life balance to help me connect and support my local community was going to need more than Sansa’s nose!
Choosing OSCAR turned out to be easy because I was struck by the company’s honesty. From my very first enquiry, I received nothing but truthful and sincere support from its amazing head office team, which meant I immediately knew it was a brand I could get behind and feel comfortable with.
Now, instead of meeting somebody else’s targets, I am looking forward to embracing a new sense of personal responsibility that focuses on customer convenience and satisfaction. Hopefully, my hobbies of coarse fishing and cycling will help me to appreciate the combination of patience and endurance that good customer relationships depend upon.

My Lexi loves Oscar food especially the treats … she just about turns herself inside out with excitement when she sees me getting them. Stuart is so friendly and helpful and delivers everything to my door quickly and efficiently . The wide variety of food, treats, biscuits, toys etc makes shopping so easy and I can even buy bird seed as well .
Great service and advice just made the change but the dogs are loving the food and some tasty treats
Oscars is a great food, our dogs do very well on it. Our litter of dalmations were big healthy puppies and loved the Puppy Complete food. Great advice from Stuart for our Cocker Spaniel too he is now on a better high fibre diet. Always receive great service from Stuart, he is very knowledgeable and always has a smile and a treat for the dogs, a real personal touch.

My GSD is very fussy with his eating – having had two operations for inter-susseptions in the first months of his life. Stuart was very kind and patient as we tried out almost the entire range of dog food – but pleased to say OSCAR Pet Foods Carlisle came through and he is a very healthy 36kg now on his Lamb & Rice, Gluten Free diet.
